The school got CBSE Affiliation in 2014. As per the needs of the parents, a hostel facility for boys and girls was started in 2008. At present, the school is having its three storied building with 48 rooms and a conference hall.
The present strength of the school is 970 students starting from Nursery to Std-X.
As the students are coming from nearby rural and urban areas, the school transports department is engaging 16 vehicles in the nominal charge. For interested students midday meals is provided at a minimum rate.
Prof. Achyuta Samanta is an educationist, humanitarian and a statesman. He grew up in Kalarabanka, Odisha amidst severe poverty with seven siblings and a widow mother. He managed to complete his Masters, struggling and braving the hardships from the age of four when he lost his father in a train accident.
Samanta was born to Shri Anadi Charan Samanta and Smt. Nilima Rani Samanta in the village of Kalarabanka in Cuttack District of Odisha in 1965.His father died when Samanta was four, and he grew up in abject poverty with his widowed mother and seven siblings.
Dr. Iti Samanta pursued her primary education in the village school at Kalarabanka. Later she shifted to Cuttack and passed the High School Certificate Examination from Khan Nagar High School. She completed her intermediate from Ramadevi Women’s College, Bhubaneswar. And then she joined Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering. However, Iti had a strong bent towards writing. Accordingly, after completion of the engineering degree altered her stream and enrolled herself for a Post Graduate Degree in Odia Literature. Later, she also earned a Master’s Degree in Mass Communications and Advanced Journalism from Utkal University, Odisha
